The I-ODR or Infrared Orbital Drop Reinforcement Targeting Beacon is the latest innovation in infantry support. Once active the beacon uses a series of radio pulses to map the drop-zone. Following that a scan of nearby active IFFs and their combat sensory data is analyzed to determine if the zone is secure or 'hot'. This information determines the drop type that is requested from orbit.
